DESK/2 Readme First The Hague, July 17 1996.
-------------------
Thanks for using DESK/2! DESK/2 used to be a shareware package, but
since I desided to quit developing and supporting it I have released a
new FREEWARE version. The registration screen is still there, and
accesible by running "DESKCFG Keys". Just enter any name there, the
key value will not be used so don't bother...
You will find the following files inside the DESK2.140 archive:
Length Method Size Ratio Date Time CRC-32 Attr Name
------ ------ ----- ----- ---- ---- -------- ---- ----

Here are some quick pointers to get you running:
- Be sure to set the GE environment variable, so DESKCFG can import
data from the GEcho configuration.
- For complete understanding of DESK/2, it's a very, very good idea to
at least read the documentation once.
- Fire up DESKCFG, check all fields.
- Run "DESK2 Read" after any echomail toss, to keep the statistics
accurate.
- Run "DESK2 Pack" in your daily maintenance event, to keep the database
up to date.
Have fun!
Regards,
Donald Heering, author of DESK & DESK/2.
